OUR BEGINNINGS IN THE HEATING INDUSTRY

Calefacción Eléctrica S.A. de C.V. (CALELEC) began operations in 1981 under the trademark C/E. At first,CALELEC only manufactured electric heating resistances, importing ceramics from abroad and by subcontracting galvanizing services. Over the years, due to increased sales volume, we chose to implement our galvanizing process and manufacture of ceramic dielectrics in order to streamline our production and increase the quality of electrical resistance

In 1994, CALELEC began to develop products related to water heating. In 1997, CALELEC obtained ANCE’s (National Association for Standardization and Certification of the Electrical Sector) quality certification.

COMPANY GROWTH

CALELEC staff and infrastructure continued to grow to meet the demand related to air and water heating products like electric heaters, integrated heating equipment, electric and gas boilers, electric storage heaters, etc.

Today CALELEC is recognized as a provider for leading air conditioning manufacturers such as Carrier, York, Trane, Daikin, Bryant, Dunham Bush, to name a few. CALELEC successfully competes in the international market.

CALELEC design and manufacturing engineering is based on strict quality norms and standards (NEMA, NOM, ANCE, UL, ANSI, CAN, CSA , and today, we are currently implementing ISO 9000: 2000).
